I'm still in the early stages with my first garden, but the product is SUPER EASY to use, has indicators when to add water and nutrient tablets. GOOD TIP: Mix up the nutrient tablets in a glass of water FIRST so that they are almost completely dissolved and THEN add to reservoir. Otherwise, they don't completely dissolve and sit on the bottom. Perhaps that's why some folks have sprouting/growth issues. Also it's best to use distilled water- tap or well water has too many nutrients/chemicals in it and can overwhelm the growth system. The hydroponic pump is quiet (unlike some of the later models, whose reviews I've been reading). I have the Spring Flowers package. The plants are doing very well, except for one pod which didn't sprout so I added my own seeds. They've recently lowered the prices at aerogarden on just about everything so seed pods and lights, especially, are cheaper. I also surround the aerogarden with my small potted plants which do surprisingly well with the light the system shines for 16 hours a day. My nutrients pouches became too moisturized and leaked and I emailed Aerogarden and they sent me free tablets in about a week! So I'd recommend emailing rather than calling. Good luck
